Album Oriented 95: Saturday Night Fever and Talk Talk

Erich examines that most elusive of bands, Various Artists, which debuts here on our lists with Entertainment Weekly’s #95, the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. (It’s mostly the Bee Gees, we know–let’s not discount the Trammps and KC and The Sunshine Band.) Daniel takes on NME’s #95 and explicates Talk Talk’s 1988 jazz-rock odyssey Spirit of Eden in a way we can only describe as understated and tasteful. Erich’s Mid-Year Kicker Pick from 1982-83 will enchant you and have you reaching for your lip gloss and we’ll just leave it at that.
